The Piano Club takes its name from an extraordinary act of generosity. In 1871, a will was discovered hidden inside the piano of Cordelia Read — a gift equivalent to £15 million today, which funded the expansion of Royal Brompton Hospital. That same spirit of compassion and innovation continues through our community of supporters.
