Over £12,000 Raised as Fundraisers Take On the Royal Parks Half Marathon

Fundraisers took on the iconic Royal Parks Half Marathon to help transform heart and lung care for patients

News Release

27th November 2025

Runners, hospital staff, and supporters came together to raise over £10,000 for heart and lung patients.

On Sunday, October 12, 2025, Fundraisers supporters laced up their running shoes and took on the iconic Royal Parks Half Marathon, a stunning 13.1-mile route winding through some of London’s most beautiful green spaces  Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, St James’s Park, and Green Park.

From the very start, the atmosphere was electric. The parks came alive with cheering crowds, music, and an incredible collective energy. The buzz was unforgettable with thousands of runners and supporters coming together to raise vital funds for causes close to their hearts.

This year, 13 amazing participants joined the challenge for Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals, each step helping to make a meaningful difference.

Thanks to their dedication and the generosity of supporters, the team raised an extraordinary £12,700. This incredible total will go directly toward supporting life-saving care and research.

A massive thank you goes out to every single runner, donor, and supporter who helped raise an incredible amount.

Among the inspiring participants were Connie, Rebeca, and Taylor, dedicated staff members from Harefield Hospital, who took on the challenge with determination and pride. They reflected on the day by saying:

“As nurses working in Harefield, we see first-hand the amazing work that RBH Charity do to support patients during their journey throughout the hospital.

None of us have been runners in recent years, in fact completing a 5km has been a massive achievement for all of us! So, to have the opportunity to take part in a Half Marathon has been daunting but exciting also.”

This year’s Royal Parks Half Marathon went beyond miles and medals it brought people together in the spirit of strength, compassion, and support. Thank you to all who took part.

Here’s to another memorable year.

Thank you
